Update: The Accident

Today, the girls and I shared a first...a first I would rather we had not had. As you may have guessed from the title, the first we shared was our first accident. And no, not the kind of accident that occurs in their pants frequently. A real live accident with cars. Before you get worried, know this, everyone is fine. Maybe a little shaken up or angry, but physically just fine.

As with most shared firsts, we had similar reactions, the girls and I. Mia (who was on the side that got hit, as was I) cried pretty hard immediately after, but calmed down with time and hand holding. Charlie gave me the most pitiful scared look. Abigail cried for a moment once we had pulled over. You can decide which one of the girls' reactions my reaction was most similar to.

I am so proud of those girls, though! They handled their first accident very well. My brave little Bean especially. (Bean is Charlie's nickname, in case you didn't know.)

And because I am a very visual person, I made an animation to go with this post. As I hope you can see, the other guy turned (from a non-turning lane) into us (the truck) while we were in a turn or go straight lane.

What he had to say for himself? "You were in a turn lane." First, no, we had the option to turn, and second, even if it had been a turn only lane, his was a straight only lane, no turning allowed. So... yeah. Entirely his fault.

If we hadn't had the girls, I would only feel shaken. No one was hurt after all. But remembering Mia's face... Grr. He's lucky I was still in shock when we pulled over.

Box Girls!

Remember this post on Ashlee's blog? Well, it happened again. Times three.

Mia with EVERY SOFT TOY EVER.
Charlie, the Queen of all she can see. Right now that means the floor immediately next to her box.
Abby, checking things out.
Yep. They're pretty durn cute.

"I don't want you any more, silly block!"

Little...Pink Riding Hood?

More hoodie (also known as draping robe and now riding hood) fun!

Pink Riding hoods!

Uncooperative Pink Riding Hood.
Have you noticed, the uncooperative Riding Hood is the same baby as the uncooperative minion?

The hoodie fun was had the other day when it was a little cold in the house. We put the jackets on the girls without putting their arms in the sleeves because we thought it'd be a little too warm with the sleeves. And it occured to me that they looked like little pink cult members. However, Minion sounds cuter, so that is what that style became. Then, when the coats started falling off and/or getting pulled off *coughAbbycough* I tied the sleeves in front for the Riding Hood look.

In case you are wondering, no. I don't usually play dress up with the girls. But Ashlee had gone to visit a neighbor and stayed for half an hour longer than expected, so I had to do *something* to entertain myself, didn't I?

One more post to come before this posting spree ends, hang on!

Minions!

You know those days when you look at the day, take in a nice long breath of fresh air, and think, "Wouldn't it be nice to take over the world?"

Yeah. Me neither.

However, if I ever wanted to take over the world, I'd be ready to go, because I have minions (complete with draping robes (okay, the 'draping robes' are actually hoodies (and they're pink) but who cares, they look like draping robes!)!

Is she here? Is she there?! Minion number one is a ninja, with lightening fast moves. Watch out!Minion meeting. "Does this draping robe make me look fat?"
Ninja minion strikes again!
Uncooperative Minion. "There's no way I'm wearing a pink hoodie and calling it a robe."
Intel Minion. In charge of look out. "Oh look, there's sunshine on the floor!"

I... am a responsible blogger.

And as such, I blog regularly, even when it's only one line long and has no pictures in the post.

Aren't you happy that, today, I am pulling out my 'loquacious blogger' card and putting it next to my 'responsible blogger' card? (For those who don't understand Lisaspeak, that means, I am stopping with the one-liners that link you to a picture or pictures elsewhere and am going to put my own pictures and words in this post. (And now you understand, don't you agree, the Lisaspeak was much shorter and more intelligent sounding than the explanation of it?))

Now. To more Serious Matters. Such as babies. Adorable babies. Triplet babies. Or, in other words, my niecelings.

The tie die dresses they wore Sunday.

What the girls wore today. Aren't they cah-UTE?

Mia's tie die dress from Sunday. (I have no idea why this line is being underlined and cannot seem to get rid of it. *shrug* Odd.)

Reading!
Such intense concentration!

After Halloweeeeen

Blogger wouldn't let me post this picture at the right size, so I'm linking it.
