My many aliases
You want to hear a funny story?
Today at church, the girls went crazy. It was amazing how much noise they could make and how much they could wriggle. We were all exhausted afterward. It was like trying to have a wrestling match as quietly and unnoticeable-y as possible. Sounds difficult? Yeah. It was.
Anyway. That's not the funny story. The funny story is this.
The people sitting in the pew behind us included a little girl, probably around age 5. Seeing that the people sitting in front of her had a larger number of babies peeking over their shoulders than is usual, this sweet young individual turned to her mommy and said, 'Look Mommy! Those people have five babies! See? One, two... three. Three babies, Mommy!'
Funny. Yes? It gets better.
She began to point the three babies out, physically and verbally.
'See, look Mommy, the Daddy has one, the Mommy has one, and the Grandma has one!'
Now you begin to see the hilarity, don't you? There was no grandma on that bench. Just one highly amused and slightly embarrassed eighteen year old aunt. Ah, kids. They say the darndest things, don't they? Of all the things I'm pretty sure people have thought I am, that's the first time Grandma has made it on the list.
When we got home, I couldn't help checking for wrinkles. Just in case.
Don't worry. There were none.
The Grandpeople
Feet and legs are so gorgeous, don't you think?
Guess who actually had less pictures taken of her than I thought? Yep. That's right. Grandma.
Woah.... Lisa found her blog again.
Guess who actually had some pictures taken of him while he was here? That's right. Uncle Chris.
He looks a bit insane in this one, doesn't he.
Fun fun fun.
They were really enjoying those pillows. Uncle Chris looks a bit jealous.
FOOOOOOD! (Otherwise known as the substance that will earn you a million smiles and lots of spills if you give it to three unnamed munchkins.)
More food.
Adoring look Mia is giving her Uncle Chris = sweetest thing ever caught on camera.
Chris, you really saved my bacon. Thanks for visiting when everyone was sick, even though it was probably much less enjoyable than it should have been, because everyone was sick. You are my hero. Without you, I would have had a really hard time taking care of the girls. And it was wonderful having you around again after a whole year. Don't take off for that long again, kay?

Between times
So purty much, feel free to ignore this post, it's just explaining why I have basically no pictures between the last post and this last week or so.
Um, yeah. So, after the mega huge load of videos I took while Mom was here, I brought my camera upstairs to load them onto my computer and promptly forgot about it. It sat on my dresser, unattended, for about a week, during which time Mimi and Poppy (Ashlee's parents) came to visit the girls, and Aunt Ran, Uncle Geoff and cousins came up to visit everybody. Yeah, epic fail on my part, not getting pictures of all this. HOWEVER, I am somewhat excusable in that I was the only person to take any pictures of Mimi and Poppy with the girls on Ashlee's camera. Which was like... three pictures total, but still.
THEN after that, the girls were sick, and trust me, you wouldn't want pictures of that, even if I had been insane enough to take some.
THEN Uncle Chris (my brother) got home from Saudi Arabia (YAY!) and came to visit. Just as epic a fail on the taking pictures here too.
THEN.... life as usual.
THEN Mom came to visit again. Which has us caught up! Next post will have pictures of this visit.
