My many aliases

You want to hear a funny story?

Today at church, the girls went crazy. It was amazing how much noise they could make and how much they could wriggle. We were all exhausted afterward. It was like trying to have a wrestling match as quietly and unnoticeable-y as possible. Sounds difficult? Yeah. It was.

Anyway. That's not the funny story. The funny story is this.

The people sitting in the pew behind us included a little girl, probably around age 5. Seeing that the people sitting in front of her had a larger number of babies peeking over their shoulders than is usual, this sweet young individual turned to her mommy and said, 'Look Mommy! Those people have five babies! See? One, two... three. Three babies, Mommy!'

Funny. Yes? It gets better.

She began to point the three babies out, physically and verbally.

'See, look Mommy, the Daddy has one, the Mommy has one, and the Grandma has one!'

Now you begin to see the hilarity, don't you? There was no grandma on that bench. Just one highly amused and slightly embarrassed eighteen year old aunt. Ah, kids. They say the darndest things, don't they? Of all the things I'm pretty sure people have thought I am, that's the first time Grandma has made it on the list.

When we got home, I couldn't help checking for wrinkles. Just in case.

Don't worry. There were none.

Pictures

Because I promised someone I would blog tonight, I am blogging this at 1 am, because I didn't remember until I was about to go to sleep. See, I keep my promises. These pictures are from last month around the time when Mom visited.
Enjoying some grandbaby bonding time.
We thought this picture was funny because Abby looks nekkid. She'd thrown up on her clothes and was in just her diaper for the moment, because we were getting ready to take them all upstairs and give them a bath.
Abby and Grandma watching a movie together. Also, Abby's very first 'mama' in sign language, caught on camera. Oh, yes. I am good.
We loved having you, Mom! Even if you had me take a bazillion videos that will take a year to load when I get around to it.
